Dreaded HIV/AIDS disease is feared spreading through university campuses due to sexual exploitation of female students.
A cure has not yet been found for the infection that slowly destroys the body’s immune system which can only be transmitted through blood and sex.
At a seminar for students organised by Nigerian Association of University Women (NAUW) Lagos branch, presentations by invited guest speakers pointed to the effects of campus prostitution on higher education system and the spread of HIV/AIDS among female students.

This article addresses the fear that HIV/AIDS is spreading on university campuses because of the exploitation of women. This article refers to a recent seminar that made students aware of the harms and risks of sexual activity associated with HIV/AIDS. This shows that certain organizations are taking necessary means to educate the Nigerian citizens so that they are aware of risks that certain behavior may entail. The Nigerian Association of University Women is aimed to educate females and be sure that they are protected and treated fairly.
